அரசனான நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் ஆரோக்கியமான இளம் யூதர்களை மட்டுமே விரும்பினான். தம் உடம்பில் தழும்போ, காயமோ, குறைபாடுகளோ இல்லாத இளைஞர்களை அரசன் விரும்பினான். அரசன் அழகான சுறுசுறுப்பான இளைஞர்களை விரும்பினான். இளைஞர்களில் எல்லாவற்றையும் எளிதாகவும், வேகமாகவும், கற்றுக்கொள்ளும் ஆற்றலுடையவர்களை அரசன் விரும்பினான். அரசன், தன் வீட்டில் வேலை செய்யத் தகுதியுள்ள இளைஞர்களை விரும்பினான். அரசன் அஸ்பேனாசிடம், அந்த இஸ்ரவேல் இளைஞர்களுக்குக் கல்தேயரின் எழுத்தையும், மொழியையும் கற்றுக்கொடுக்கும்படி கூறினான்.

உம்முடைய ராஜ்யத்திலே ஒரு புருஷன் இருக்கிறான். அவனுக்குள் பரிசுத்த தேவர்களுடைய ஆவி இருக்கிறது; உம்முடைய பிதாவின் நாட்களில் வெளிச்சமும் விவேகமும் தேவர்களின் ஞானத்துக்கு ஒத்த ஞானமும் அவனிடத்தில் காணப்பட்டது; ஆகையால் உம்முடைய பிதாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் என்னும் ராஜாவானவர் அவனைச் சாஸ்திரிகளுக்கும் ஜோசியருக்கும் கல்தேயருக்கும் குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்களுக்கும் அதிபதியாக வைத்தார்.

தானியேல் 2:20

பின்பு தானியேல் சொன்னது: தேவனுடைய நாமத்துக்கு என்றென்றைக்குமுள்ள சதாகாலங்களிலும் ஸ்தோத்திரமுண்டாவதாக; ஞானமும் வல்லமையும் அவருக்கே உரியது.

அப்பொழுது கல்தேயர் ராஜாவை நோக்கி: ராஜாவே, நீர் என்றும் வாழ்க; சொப்பனத்தை உமது அடியாருக்குச் சொல்லும், அப்பொழுது அதின் அர்த்தத்தை விடுவிப்போம் என்று சீரியபாஷையிலே சொன்னார்கள்.

கல்தேயர் ராஜசமுகத்தில் பிரதியுத்தரமாக; ராஜா கேட்கும் காரியத்தை அறிவிக்கத்தக்க மனுஷன் பூமியில் ஒருவனும் இல்லை; ஆகையால் மகத்துவமும் வல்லமையுமான எந்த ராஜாவும் இப்படிப்பட்ட காரியத்தை ஒரு சாஸ்திரியினிடத்திலாவது ஜோசியனிடத்திலாவது கல்தேயனிடத்திலாவது கேட்டதில்லை.

தானியேல் 3:8

அச்சமயத்தில் கல்தேயரில் சிலர் ராஜசமுகத்தில் வந்து, யூதர்பேரில் குற்றஞ்சாற்றி,

தானியேல் 4:7

அப்பொழுது சாஸ்திரிகளும், ஜோசியரும், கல்தேயரும், குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்களும் என்னிடத்திலே வந்தார்கள்; சொப்பனத்தை நான் அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னாலும் அதின் அர்த்தத்தை எனக்குத் தெரிவிக்கமாட்டாமற்போனார்கள்.

ராஜா உரத்த சத்தமிட்டு; ஜோசியரையும் கல்தேயரையும் குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்களையும் உள்ளே அழைத்துவரும்படி சொன்னான். ராஜா பாபிலோன் ஞானிகளை நோக்கி: இந்த எழுத்தை வாசித்து, இதின் அர்த்தத்தை எனக்கு வெளிப்படுத்துகிறவன் எவனோ அவன் இரத்தாம்பரமும் கழுத்திலே பொற்சரப்பணியும் தரிக்கப்பட்டு ராஜ்யத்திலே மூன்றாம் அதிபதியாய் இருப்பான் என்று சொன்னான்.

அப்போஸ்தலர் 7:20

அக்காலத்திலே மோசே பிறந்து, திவ்விய சவுந்தரியமுள்ளவனாயிருந்து, மூன்று மாதமளவும் தன் தகப்பன் வீட்டிலே வளர்க்கப்பட்டான்.
