ராஜா, தான் உண்ணும் போஜனத்திலேயும் தான் குடிக்கும் திராட்சரசத்திலேயும் தினம் ஒரு பங்கை அவர்களுக்கு நியமித்து, அவர்களை மூன்றுவருஷம் வளர்க்கவும், அதின் முடிவிலே அவர்கள் ராஜாவுக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கும்படி செய்யவும் கட்டளையிட்டான்.

ராஜா, தான் சாப்பிடும் உணவிலேயும் தான் குடிக்கும் திராட்சைரசத்திலேயும் தினம் ஒரு பங்கை அவர்களுக்கு நியமித்து, அவர்களை மூன்றுவருடங்கள் வளர்க்கவும், அதின் முடிவிலே அவர்கள் ராஜாவிற்கு முன்பாக நிற்கும்படிசெய்யவும் கட்டளையிட்டான்.

அரசனான நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட அளவுள்ள உணவையும் திராட்சைரசத்தையும் இளைஞர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தான். அது அரசன் உண்ணும் உணவின் தரத்தில் இருந்தது. அரசன் இஸ்ரவேலிலிருந்து கொண்டுவரப்பட்ட இளைஞர்கள் மூன்று ஆண்டுகள் பயிற்சிபெற வேண்டும் என விரும்பினான். மூன்று ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு அந்த இளைஞர்கள் பாபிலோன் அரசனது பணியாட்களாக இருக்கவேண்டும்.

திருவிவிலியம்
அரசன் தான் உண்டுவந்த சிறப்புணவிலும், பருகி வந்த திராட்சை இரசத்திலும் நாள்தோறும் ஒரு பங்கை அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கும்படி ஏற்பாடு செய்தான். இவ்வாறு மூன்றாண்டுகள் பயிற்சி அளித்தபின், இறுதியில் அவர்களை அரசன் முன்னிலையில் கொண்டு வந்து நிறுத்தவேண்டும் என்று ஆணையிட்டான்.
