இணை வசனம்

கர்த்தரோ யோசேப்போடே இருந்து, அவன்மேல் கிருபை வைத்து, சிறைச்சாலைத் தலைவனுடைய தயவு அவனுக்குக் கிடைக்கும்படி செய்தார்.

அவர்களைச் சிறைபிடித்த யாவரும் அவர்களுக்கு இரங்கும்படி செய்தார்.

ஒருவனுடைய வழிகள் கர்த்தருக்குப் பிரியமாயிருந்தால், அவனுடைய சத்துருக்களும் அவனோடே சமாதானமாகும்படி செய்வார்.

உம்முடைய ஜனங்கள் உமக்கு விரோதமாய்ச் செய்த பாவத்தையும், அவர்கள் உம்முடைய கட்டளையை மீறிய அவர்கள் துரோகங்களையும் எல்லாம் மன்னித்து, அவர்களைச் சிறைபிடித்துக் கொண்டுபோகிறவர்கள் அவர்களுக்கு இரங்கத்தக்கதான இரக்கத்தை அவர்களுக்கு கிடைக்கப்பண்ணுவீராக.

அப்பொழுது ராஜா என்னைப் பார்த்து: நீ கேட்கிற காரியம் என்ன என்றார். அப்பொழுது நான்: பரலோகத்தின் தேவனை நோக்கி ஜெபம்பண்ணி,

பக்தியுள்ளவனைக் கர்த்தர் தமக்காகத் தெரிந்துகொண்டாரென்று அறியுங்கள்; நான் கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக்கூப்பிடுகையில் அவர் கேட்பார்.

தேவனோ அவனுடனேகூட இருந்து, எல்லா உபத்திரவங்களினின்றும் அவனை விடுவித்து, எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோன் சமுகத்திலே அவனுக்குக் கிருபையையும் ஞானத்தையும் அருளினார்; அந்த ராஜா அவனை எகிப்துதேசத்திற்கும் தன் வீட்டனைத்திற்கும் அதிகாரியாக ஏற்படுத்தினான்.

அப்பொழுது அவர்: உன் பேர் இனி யாக்கோபு என்னப்படாமல் இஸ்ரவேல் என்னப்படும்; தேவனோடும் மனிதரோடும் போராடி மேற்கொண்டாயே என்றார்.

எருசலேமிலுள்ள கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தை அலங்கரிக்க, இப்படிப்பட்ட யோசனையை ராஜாவின் இருதயத்தில் அருளி, ராஜாவுக்கும் அவருடைய மந்திரிமார்களுக்கும் ராஜாவின் கைக்குள்ளான பலத்த எல்லா மகாப்பிரபுக்களுக்கும் முன்பாக எனக்குத்தயவு கிடைக்கப்பண்ணின எங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்.

ஆண்டவரே, உமது அடியானின் ஜெபத்தையும், உமது நாமத்துக்குப் பயப்படவேண்டும் என்று விரும்புகிற உமது அடியாரின் ஜெபத்தையும் உமது செவிகள் கவனித்திருப்பதாக; இன்றைக்கு உமது அடியானுக்குக் காரியத்தைக் கைக்கூடி வரப்பண்ணி, இந்த மனுஷனுக்கு முன்பாக எனக்கு இரக்கம் கிடைக்கப்பண்ணியருளும் என்று பிரார்த்தித்தேன். நான் ராஜாவுக்குப் பானபாத்திரக்காரனாயிருந்தேன்.
