அப்பொழுது அந்த மனுஷர் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் கூட்டமாய் வந்து: ராஜா கட்டளையிட்ட எந்தத் தாக்கீதும் கட்டளையும் மாற்றப்படக் கூடாதென்பது மேதியருக்கும் பெர்சியருக்கும் பிரமாணமாயிருக்கிறதென்று அறிவீராக என்றார்கள்.

பிறகு அந்த ஆட்கள் ஒரு குழுவாக அரசனிடம் சென்றனர். அவர்கள் அவனிடம், “அரசே, நினைத்துப்பாரும். மேதியர் மற்றும் பெர்சியரின் சட்டமானது, அரசனால் கையெழுத்திடப்பட்ட கட்டளையோ அல்லது சட்டமோ விலக்கப்படவோ மாற்றப்படவோ முடியாது என்று கூறுகிறது” என்றார்கள்.
