தானியேல் 6:2
ராஜாவுக்கு நஷ்டம் வராதபடிக்கு அந்த தேசாதிபதிகள் கணக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கிறதற்காக அவர்களுக்கு மேலாக மூன்று பிரதானிகளையும் ஏற்படுத்துவது தரியுவுக்கு நலமென்று கண்டது; இவர்களில் தானியேல் ஒருவனாயிருந்தான்.

அவன் அந்த 120 தேசாதிபதிகளையும் கட்டுப்படுத்த மூன்று பேரைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தான். இந்த மூன்று மேற்பார்வையாளர்களில் தானியேலும் ஒருவன். அரசன் இவ்வாறு ஓர் ஏற்பாடு செய்துவிட்டதால் எவரும் அவனை ஏமாற்ற முடியாது. அதோடு அவன் தனது இராஜ்யத்தில் எதையும் இழக்கமாட்டான்.

இத்தண்டல்காரரைக் கண்காணிப்பதற்கென்று மூன்று மேற்பார்வையாளரை ஏற்படுத்தினான். அரசனுக்கு எவ்வித இழப்பும் நேரிடாவண்ணம் இம் மூவரிடமும் அத்தண்டல்காரர்கள் கணக்குக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.
