தானியேலாகிய நான் இந்தத் தரிசனத்தைக்கண்டு, அதின் பொருளை அறிய வகைதேடுகையில், இதோ, மனுஷசாயலான ஒருவன் எனக்கு எதிரே நின்றான்.

குறித்தகாலத்துக்குத் தரிசனம் இன்னும் வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது; முடிவிலே அது விளங்கும், அது பொய் சொல்லாது; அது தாமதித்தாலும் அதற்குக் காத்திரு; அது நிச்சயமாய் வரும், அது தாமதிப்பதில்லை.

அவர்களுடைய ராஜ்யபாரத்தின் கடைசிக்காலத்திலோவென்றால், பாதகருடைய பாதகம் நிறைவேறும்போது, மூர்க்க முகமும் சூதான பேச்சுமுள்ள சாமர்த்தியமாɠஒரு ராஜா எழும்புவான்.

இந்த இரண்டு ராஜாக்களின் இருதயமும் தீமை செய்ய நினைக்கும்; ஒரே பந்தியிலிருந்து பொய் பேசுவார்கள், ஆனாலும் அது வாய்ப்பதில்லை; குறித்தகாலத்துக்கு முடிவு இன்னும் நிறுத்திவைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும்.

அறிவாளிகளைப் புடமிடுகிறதற்கும், சுத்திகரிக்கிறதற்கும், வெண்மையாக்குகிறதற்கும் அவர்களில் சிலர் விழுவார்கள்; முடிவுகாலபரியந்தம் இப்படியிருக்கும்; குறித்தகாலம் வர இன்னும் நாள் செல்லும்.

அப்பொழுது சணல்வஸ்திரம் தரித்தவரும் ஆற்றின் தண்ணீர்களின்மேல் நிற்கிறவருமாகிய புருஷன் தம்முடைய வலது கரத்தையும் தம்முடைய இடதுகரத்தையும் வானத்துக்கு நேராக ஏறெடுத்து, ஒரு காலமும் காலங்களும், அரைக்காலமும் செல்லும் என்றும்; பரிசுத்த ஜனங்களின் வல்லமையைச் சிதறடித்தல் முடிவுபெறும்போதே இவைகளெல்லாம் நிறைவேறித் தீருமென்றும் என்றென்றைக்கும் ஜீவித்திருக்கிறவர்பேரில் ஆணையிடக் கேட்டேன்.

சீக்கிரத்தில் சம்பவிக்கவேண்டியவைகளைத் தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரருக்குக் காண்பிக்கும்பொருட்டு, தேவன் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவுக்கு ஒப்புவித்ததும், இவர் தம்முடைய தூதனை அனுப்பி, தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரனாகிய யோவானுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினதுமான விசேஷம்.

வானத்தையும் அதிலுள்ளவைகளையும், பூமியையும் அதிலுள்ளவைகளையும், சமுத்திரத்தையும் அதிலுள்ளவைகளையும் சிருஷ்டித்தவரும், சதாகாலங்களிலும் உயிரோடிருக்கிறவருமானவர்மேல் ஆணையிட்டுச் சொன்னான்.

ஜாதிகள் கோபித்தார்கள், அப்பொழுது உம்முடைய கோபம் மூண்டது; மரித்தோர் நியாயத்தீர்ப்படைகிறதற்கும், தீர்க்கதரிசிகளாகிய உம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரருக்கும் பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்கும் உமது நாமத்தின்மேல் பயபக்தியாயிருந்த சிறியோர் பெரியோருக்கும் பலனளிக்கிறதற்கும், பூமியைக் கெடுத்தவர்களைக் கெடுக்கிறதற்கும், காலம்வந்தது என்று சொல்லி, தேவனைத் தொழுதுகொண்டார்கள்.

பின்பு, வானத்திலே பெரிதும் ஆச்சரியமுமான வேறொரு அடையாளமாகிய கடைசியான ஏழு வாதைகளையுடைய ஏழு தூதரைக் கண்டேன், அவைகளால் தேவனுடைய கோபம் முடிகிறது.

தேவன் தம்முடைய வார்த்தைகள் நிறைவேறுமளவும், அவர்கள் தமது யோசனையை நிறைவேற்றுகிறதற்கும், ஒரே யோசனையுள்ளவர்களாயிருந்து, தங்கள் ராஜ்யத்தை மிருகத்திற்குக் கொடுக்கிறதற்கும் அவர்களுடைய இருதயங்களை ஏவினார்.
