நான் என் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்துப்பார்த்தேன்; இதோ, இரண்டு கொம்புகளுள்ள ஒரு ஆட்டுக்கடா ஆற்றிற்கு முன்பாக நின்றது; அதின் இரண்டு கொம்புகளும் உயர்ந்தவைகளாயிருந்தது; ஆகிலும் அவைகளில் ஒன்று மற்றதைப்பார்க்கிலும் உயர்ந்திருந்தது; உயர்ந்தகொம்பு பிந்தி முளைத்தெழும்பிற்று.

நான் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்துப் பார்த்தேன். ஒரு செம்மறியாட்டுக்கடா ஊலாய் ஆற்றின் கரையில் நிற்பதை நான் பார்த்தேன். அந்த ஆட்டுக்கடாவிற்கு இரண்டு நீண்ட கொம்புகள் இருந்தன. ஒன்று இன்னொன்றைவிட நீளமானது. ஒரு கொம்பு இன்னொன்றைவிட பின்னாலிருந்தது.

நான் கண்களை உயர்த்திப் பார்த்தபொழுது, ஒரு செம்மறிக்கிடாய் அந்த ஆற்றங்கரையில் நிற்கக் கண்டேன். அதற்கு இரண்டு கொம்புகள் இருந்தன; இரண்டும் நீளமான கொம்புகள்; ஒன்று மற்றதைவிட நீளமானது; நீளமானது இரண்டாவதாக முளைத்தது.
