ஆண்டவரே, நீதி உமக்கே உரியது; உமக்கு விரோதமாகச் செய்த துரோகத்தினிமித்தம் உம்மாலே சமீபமும் தூரமுமான எல்லா தேசங்களிலும் துரத்தப்பட்டிருக்கிற யூதமனுஷரும் எருசலேமின் குடிகளும் சகல இஸ்ரவேலருமாகிய நாங்கள் இந்நாளில் இருக்கிறபடியே, வெட்கம் எங்களுக்கே உரியது.

“கர்த்தவே, நீர் நல்லவர். நீதி உமக்கே உரியது. ஆனால் இன்று வெட்கக்கேடு எங்களுக்கு உரியதாயிற்று. யூதா மற்றும் எருசலேமிலுள்ள ஜனங்களுக்கு அவமானம் உரியதாயிற்று. அவமானம் இஸ்ரவேலில் உள்ள அனைத்து ஜனங்களுக்கும் உமக்கு அருகிலே உள்ள ஜனங்களுக்கும் உமக்குத் தொலைவிலே உள்ள ஜனங்களுக்கும் உரியதாயிற்று. கர்த்தாவே, அந்த ஜனங்களை நீர் பலதேசங்களில் சிதறடித்தீர். அத்தேசங்களிலுள்ள இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்கள் அவமானப்படுவார்களாக. கர்த்தாவே, அவர்கள் உமக்கு எதிராகச் செய்த அனைத்து கேடுகளுக்கும் அவமானப்படுவார்களாக.

என் தலைவரே! நீதி உமக்கு உரியது; எமக்கோ இன்று வரை கிடைத்துள்ளது அவமானமே. ஏனெனில், யூதாவின் ஆண்களும் எருசலேம்வாழ் மக்களும், இஸ்ரயேலைச் சார்ந்த யாவரும் ஆகிய நாங்கள், உமக்கு எதிராகச் செய்த துரோகத்தின் பொருட்டு, அருகிலோ தொலையிலோ உள்ள எல்லா நாடுகளுக்கும் உம்மால் இன்றுவரை விரட்டப்பட்டுள்ளோம்.
