எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் கற்பனைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமல், இன்று நான் உங்களுக்கு விதிக்கிற வழியைவிட்டு விலகி, நீங்கள் அறியாத வேறே தேவர்களைப் பின்பற்றுவீர்களானால் சாபமும் வரும்.

எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் கற்பனைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமல், இன்று நான் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிற வழியைவிட்டு விலகி, நீங்கள் அறியாத வேறே தெய்வங்களைப் பின்பற்றுவீர்களானால் சாபமும் வரும்.

ஆனால் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளைகளுக்கு கீழ்ப்படிவதையும், பின்பற்றுவதையும் மறுத்தால் சாபத்தைப் பெறுவீர்கள். ஆகவே, நான் இன்று உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி வாழ்வதை நிறுத்திவிடாதீர்கள். அதுமட்டுமின்றி அந்நிய பொய்த் தெய்வங்ளைப் பின்பற்றாதிருங்கள். கர்த்தரைப் பற்றி உங்களுக்குத் தெரியும். ஆனால் அந்தப் பொய்த் தெய்வங்களைப்பற்றி உங்களுக்குத் தெரியாது.
