உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் தமது நாமம் விளங்கும்படி தெரிந்துகொள்ளும் ஓர் இடம் உண்டாயிருக்கும்; அங்கே நீங்கள் நான் உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்ட யாவையும் உங்கள் சர்வாங்க தகனங்களையும், உங்கள் பலிகளையும், உங்கள் தசம பாகங்களையும், உங்கள் கை ஏறெடுத்துப் படைக்கும் படைப்புகளையும், நீங்கள் கர்த்தருக்கு நேர்ந்துகொள்ளும் விசேஷித்த எல்லாப் பொருத்தனைகளையும் கொண்டுவந்து,

கர்த்தர் இரவிலே சாலொமோனுக்குத் தரிசனமாகி: நான் உன் விண்ணப்பத்தைக் கேட்டு, இந்த ஸ்தலத்தை எனக்குப் பலியிடும் ஆலயமாகத் தெரிந்துகொண்டேன்.

உபாகமம் 16:2

கர்த்தர் தமது நாமம் விளங்கும்படி தெரிந்துகொள்ளும் ஸ்தானத்தில், உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பஸ்காவின் பலியாகிய ஆடுமாடுகளைப் பலியிடுவாயாக.

உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கொடுக்கும் உன் தேசத்தில் நீ பயிரிடும் நிலத்தின் கனிகளிலெல்லாம் முந்தின பலனை எடுத்து, ஒரு கூடையிலே வைத்து, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் தமது நாமம் விளங்கும்படி தெரிந்துகொண்டிருக்கும் ஸ்தானத்திற்குப் போய்,

உமது அடியேன் இவ்விடத்திலே செய்யும் விண்ணப்பத்தைக் கேட்கும்படி என்னுடைய நாமம் விளங்குமென்று நீர் சொன்ன ஸ்தலமாகிய இந்த ஆலயத்தின் மேல் உம்முடைய கண்கள் இரவும் பகலும் திறந்திருப்பதாக.
