அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் என்னை நோக்கி: நீ மோவாபை வருத்தப்படுத்தாமலும், அவர்களோடே போர்செய்யாமலும் இரு; அவர்கள் தேசத்தில் உனக்கு ஒன்றும் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடேன்; ஆர் என்னும் பட்டணத்தின் சீமையை லோத் புத்திரருக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுத்தேன்.

“கர்த்தர் என்னிடம், ‘மோவாப் ஜனங்களைத் துன்புறுத்த வேண்டாம், அவர்களுக்கு எதிராகப் போர் துவங்காதீர்கள். அவர்களது நிலம் எதையும் உங்களுக்குத் தரமாட்டேன். லோத்தின் சந்ததியாராகிய அவர்களுக்கு ஆர் நகரை வழங்கினேன்’ என்று கூறினார்.”
