இணை வசனம்

என் உடன்படிக்கையை மீறினதற்குப் பழிவாங்கும் பட்டயத்தை உங்கள்மேல் வரப்பண்ணி, நீங்கள் உங்கள் பட்டணங்களில் சேர்ந்தபின், கொள்ளைநோயை உங்கள் நடுவிலே அனுப்புவேன்; சத்துருவின் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படுவீர்கள்.

அவர்களுக்கும் அவர்கள் பிதாக்களுக்கும் நான் கொடுத்த தேசத்தில் அவர்கள் இராதபடிக்கு நிர்மூலமாகுமட்டும், அவர்களுக்குள்ளே பட்டயத்தையும், பஞ்சத்தையும், கொள்ளைநோயையும் அனுப்புவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

நான் அவர்களைக் கொள்ளை நோயினால் வாதித்து, சுதந்தரத்துக்குப் புறம்பாக்கிப்போட்டு, அவர்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் உன்னைப் பெரிதும் பலத்ததுமான ஜாதியாக்குவேன் என்றார்.

அப்பொழுது அவர்கள்: எபிரெயருடைய தேவன் எங்களைச் சந்தித்தார்; நாங்கள் வனாந்தரத்தில் மூன்றுநாள் பிரயாணம் போய், எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பலியிடும்படி போகவிடவேண்டும்; போகாதிருந்தால், அவர் கொள்ளை நோயும் பட்டயமும் எங்கள் மேல் வரப்பண்ணுவார் என்றார்கள்.

மோசே ஆரோனை நோக்கி: நீ தூபகலசத்தை எடுத்து, பலிபீடத்திலிருக்கிற அக்கினியை அதில் போட்டு, அதின்மேல் தூபவர்க்கம் இட்டு, சீக்கிரமாய்ச் சபையினிடத்தில் போய், அவர்களுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்; கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியிலிருந்து கடுங்கோபம் புறப்பட்டது, வாதை தொடங்கிற்று என்றான்.

அந்த வாதையால் செத்தவர்கள் இருபத்துநாலாயிரம் பேர்.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலிலே அன்று காலமே தொடங்கி குறித்தகாலம்வரைக்கும் கொள்ளைநோயை வரப்பண்ணினார்; அதினால் தாண்முதல் பெயெர்செபாமட்டுமுள்ள ஜனங்களில் எழுபதினாயிரம்பேர் செத்துப்போனார்கள்.

எங்கே புறப்பட்டுப்போனோம் என்று இவர்களைக் கேட்டால், நீ அவர்களை நோக்கி: சாவுக்கு ஏதுவானவர்கள் சாவுக்கும், பட்டயத்துக்கு ஏதுவானவர்கள் பட்டயத்துக்கும், பஞ்சத்துக்கு ஏதுவானவர்கள் பஞ்சத்துக்கும், சிறையிருப்புக்கு ஏதுவானவர்கள் சிறையிருப்புக்கும் நேராய்ப் போகவேண்டும் என்று கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறார் என்று சொல்லு.

மகா கொடிய வியாதிகளால் சாவார்கள் அவர்களுக்காகப் புலம்புவாரும், அவர்களை அடக்கம்பண்ணுவாருமில்லை, நிலத்தின்மேல் எருவாவார்கள்; பட்டயத்தாலும் பஞ்சத்தாலும் மடிந்துபோவார்கள்; அவைகளுடைய பிரேதம் ஆகாசத்துப்பறவைகளுக்கும் பூமியின் மிருகங்களுக்கும் இரையாகும்.

இந்த நகரத்தின் குடிகளையும், மனுஷரையும், மிருகங்களையும் சங்கரிப்பேன்; மகா கொள்ளைநோயால் சாவார்கள்.

ஒரு ஸ்திரீ விலையேறப்பெற்ற பரிமள தைலமுள்ள வெள்ளைக்கல்பரணியைக் கொண்டுவந்து, அவர் போஜனபந்தியிலிருக்கும்போது, அந்தத் தைலத்தை அவர் சிரசின்மேல் ஊற்றினாள்.
