உன்னிலும் உன் சந்ததியிலும் என்றைக்கும் அடையாளமாகவும் அற்புதமாகவும் இருக்கும்.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தரின் கோபமும் எரிச்சலும் அந்த மனிதன்மேல் புகையும்; இந்தப் புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிற சாபங்களெல்லாம் அவன்மேல் தங்கும்; கர்த்தர் அவன் பேரை வானத்தின்கீழ் இராதபடிக்குக் குலைத்துப்போடுவார்.

அந்நாளிலே நான் அவர்கள்மேல் கோபங்கொண்டு, அவர்களைக் கைவிட்டு, என் முகத்தை அவர்களுக்கு மறைப்பேன்; அதினால் அவர்கள் பட்சிக்கப்படும்படிக்கு அநேக தீங்குகளும் இக்கட்டுகளும் அவர்களைத் தொடரும்; அந்நாளிலே அவர்கள்: எங்கள் தேவன் எங்கள் நடுவே இராததினாலே அல்லவா இந்தத் தீங்குகள் எங்களைத் தொடர்ந்தது என்பார்கள்.

என் கோபத்தினால் அக்கினி பற்றிக்கொண்டது, அது தாழ்ந்த நரகமட்டும் எரியும்; அது பூமியையும் அதின் பலனையும் அழித்து, பர்வதங்களின் அஸ்திபாரங்களை வேகப்பண்ணும்.

எங்கள் கை உயர்ந்ததென்றும், கர்த்தர் இதையெல்லாம் செய்யவில்லை என்றும் அவர்களுடைய பகைஞர் தப்பெண்ணங்கொண்டு சொல்லுவார்கள் என்று,

நான் இஸ்ரவேலுக்குக் கொடுத்ததேசத்திலே அவர்களை வைக்காதபடிக்கு நிர்மூலமாக்கி, என் நாமம் விளங்க நான் பரிசுத்தமாக்கின இந்த ஆலயத்தை என் சமுகத்தைவிட்டுத் தள்ளுவேன்; அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் சகல ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளும் பழமொழியாகவும் வசைச் சொல்லாகவும் இருப்பார்கள்.

இதோ, நான் பாஷாவின் பின்னடியாரையும் அவன் வீட்டாரின் பின்னடியாரையும் அழித்துப்போட்டு, உன் வீட்டை நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் வீட்டைப்போல ஆக்குவேன்.

அவளுடைய அசூசம் அவள் வஸ்திர ஓரங்களில் இருந்தது; தனக்கு வரப்போகிற முடிவை நினையாதிருந்தாள்; ஆகையால் அதிசயமாய்த் தாழ்த்தப்பட்டுப்போனாள்; தேற்றுவார் இல்லை; கர்த்தாவே, என் சிறுமையைப் பாரும்; பகைஞன் பெருமைபாராட்டினானே.

வழியில் நடந்துபோகிற சகல ஜனங்களே, இதைக்குறித்து உங்களுக்குக் கவையில்லையா? கர்த்தர் தமது உக்கிரமான கோபமூண்ட நாளிலே என்னைச் சஞ்சலப்படுத்தினதினால் எனக்கு உண்டான என் துக்கத்துக்குச் சரியான துக்கம் உண்டோ என்று என்னை நோக்கிப்பாருங்கள்.

சத்துருவும் பகைஞனும் எருசலேமின் வாசல்களுக்குள் பிரவேசிப்பான் என்கிறதை பூமியின் ராஜாக்களும் பூச்சக்கரத்தின் சகல குடிகளும் நம்பமாட்டாதிருந்தார்கள்.

எருசலேமில் சம்பவித்ததுபோல வானத்தின்கீழ் எங்கும் சம்பவியாதிருக்கிற பெரிய தீங்கை எங்கள்மேல் வரப்பண்ணினதினால், அவர் எங்களுக்கும் எங்களை நியாயந்தீர்த்த நியாயாதிபதிகளுக்கும் விரோதமாகச் சொல்லியிருந்த தம்முடைய வார்த்தைகளை நிறைவேற்றினார்.

இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் அநேகநாள் ராஜா இல்லாமலும், அதிபதி இல்லாமலும், பலி இல்லாமலும், சிலை இல்லாமலும், ஏபோத் வஸ்திரம் இல்லாமலும், தேராபீம் இல்லாமலும் இருப்பார்கள்.

ஏனெனில், தேவன் உலகத்தைச் சிருஷ்டித்ததுமுதல் இதுவரைக்கும் சம்பவித்திராததும், இனிமேலும் சம்பவியாததுமான மிகுந்த உபத்திரவம் அந்நாட்களில் உண்டாயிருக்கும்.
