அவருடைய தாசனாகிய ஆபிரகாமின் சந்ததியே! அவரால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவர்களாகிய யாக்கோபின் புத்திரரே!

நீங்கள் பலங்கொண்டு திடமனதாயிருங்கள், அவர்களுக்குப் பயப்படவும் திகைக்கவும் வேண்டாம்; உன் தேவனாகிய, கர்த்தர்தாமே உன்னோடேகூட வருகிறார்; அவர் உன்னை விட்டு விலகுவதும் இல்லை; உன்னைக் கைவிடுவதும் இல்லை என்று சொன்னான்.

அப்பொழுது நான் உங்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் கலங்காமலும் அவர்களுக்குப் பயப்படாமலும் இருங்கள்.

கர்த்தருடைய செயல்களை நினைவுகூருவேன், உம்முடைய பூர்வகாலத்து அதிசயங்களையே நினைவுகூருவேன்;

கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: பார், உன்னை நான் பார்வோனுக்கு தேவனாக்கினேன்; உன் சகோதரனாகிய ஆரோன் உன் தீர்க்கதரிசியாயிருப்பான்.

அவைகளையும் சங்காரம்பண்ணினோம்; நாம் எஸ்போனின் ராஜாவாகிய சீகோனுக்குச் செய்ததுபோல, அந்த எல்லாப் பட்டணங்களிலுமுள்ள புருஷரையும் ஸ்திரீகளையும் பிள்ளைகளையும் சங்காரம்பண்ணினோம்.

அப்பொழுது கிதியோன் அவரை நோக்கி: ஆ என் ஆண்டவனே, கர்த்தர் எங்களோடே இருந்தால், இவையெல்லாம் எங்களுக்கு நேரிடுவானேன்? கர்த்தர் எங்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து கொண்டுவரவில்லையா என்று எங்கள் பிதாக்கள் எங்களுக்கு விவரித்துச்சொன்ன அவருடைய அற்புதங்களெல்லாம் எங்கே? இப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் எங்களைக் கைவிட்டு, மீதியானியர் கையில் எங்களை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தாரே என்றான்.

கர்த்தர் என் வெளிச்சமும் என் இரட்சிப்புமானவர், யாருக்குப் பயப்படுவேன். கர்த்தர் என் ஜீவனின் பெலனானவர். யாருக்கு அஞ்சுவேன்?

தேவன் நமக்கு அடைக்கலமும் பெலனும், ஆபத்துக்காலத்தில் அநுகூலமுமான துணையுமானவர்.

அவருடைய செயல்களையும் அவர் தங்களுக்குக் காண்பித்த அதிசயங்களையும் மறந்தார்கள்.

அவருடைய கரத்தையும், அவர் தங்களைச் சத்துருவுக்கு விலக்கி மீட்ட நாளையும் நினையாமற்போனார்கள்.

தம்முடைய தாசனாகிய மோசேயையும் தாம் தெரிந்துகொண்ட ஆரோனையும் அனுப்பினார்.

அவர் எகிப்திலே மனுஷருடைய தலைப்பிள்ளைகளையும் மிருகத்தின் தலையீற்றுகளையும் அடித்தார்.

எகிப்தியருடைய தலைச்சன்களைச் சங்கரித்தவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

நீ பயப்படாதே, நான் உன்னுடனே இருக்கிறேன்; திகையாதே, நான் உன் தேவன்; நான் உன்னைப் பலப்படுத்தி உனக்குச் சகாயம்பண்ணுவேன்; என் நீதியின் வலதுகரத்தினால் உன்னைத் தாங்குவேன்.

எழும்பு, எழும்பு, பெலன்கொள்; கர்த்தரின் புயமே முந்தின நாட்களிலும் பூர்வ தலைமுறைகளிலும் எழும்பினபடி எழும்பு; இராகாபைத் துண்டித்ததும் வலுசர்ப்பத்தை வதைத்ததும் நீதானல்லவோ?

ஆகிலும் அவர் பூர்வநாட்களையும், மோசேயையும், தம்முடைய ஜனத்தையும் நினைவுகூர்ந்தார்; ஆனாலும் அவர்களையும், தமது மந்தையின் மேய்ப்பனையும் சமுத்திரத்திலிருந்து ஏறிவரப்பண்ணினவர் இப்பொழுது எங்கே?
