வெள்ளியையும் பொன்னையும், ராஜசம்பத்தையும் மாகாணங்களிலுள்ள பொருள்களையும் சேகரித்தேன்; சங்கீதக்காரரையும் சங்கீதக்காரிகளையும், மனுபுத்திரருக்கு இன்பமான பலவித வாத்தியங்களையும் சம்பாதித்தேன்.

நான் எனக்காகப் பொன்னையும் வெள்ளியையும் சேகரித்தேன். அரசர்களிடமிருந்தும் அவர்களின் நாடுகளிலிருந்தும் பொக்கிஷங்களை எடுத்துக்கொண்டேன். எனக்காகப் பாடிட ஆண்களும் பெண்களும் இருந்தனர். எவரும் விரும்பத்தக்க அனைத்துப் பொருட்களும் என்னிடம் இருந்தன.

திருவிவிலியம்
வெள்ளி, பொன், மன்னர்களின் செல்வம், மாநிலங்கள் ஆகியவற்றையும் சேர்த்துக் கொண்டேன். இசைவல்ல ஆடவரும் பெண்டிரும் என்னைப் பாடி மகிழ்வித்தனர். மகிழ்வூட்டும் மங்கையரையும் வைத்திருந்தேன்.⒫
