வேலைசெய்கிறவன் கொஞ்சமாய்ப் புசித்தாலும் அதிகமாய்ப் புசித்தாலும் அவன் நித்திரை இன்பமாயிருக்கும்; செல்வனுடைய பெருக்கோ அவனைத் தூங்கவொட்டாது.

ஒருவன், பகல் முழுவதும் கடுமையாக உழைத்தால் இரவில் சமாதானமாகத் தூங்குகிறான். அவனுக்கு உண்பதற்கு மிகுதியாக உள்ளதா குறைவாக உள்ளதா என்பதைப்பற்றிக் கவலையில்லை. ஆனால் செல்வந்தன் தன் செல்வத்தைப்பற்றிக் கவலைபட்டுக்கொண்டு தூங்காமல் இருக்கிறான்.
