ராஜா சகல ஸ்திரீகளைப்பார்க்கிலும் எஸ்தர்மேல் அன்புவைத்தான்; சகல கன்னிகைகளைப்பார்க்கிலும் அவளுக்கு அவன் சமுகத்தில் அதிக தயையும் பட்சமும் கிடைத்தது; ஆகையால் அவன் ராஜகிரீடத்தை அவள் சிரசின்மேல் வைத்து, அவளை வஸ்தியின் ஸ்தானத்திலே பட்டத்து ஸ்திரீயாக்கினான்.

ராஜா எல்லாப் பெண்களையும்விட எஸ்தர்மேல் அன்புவைத்தான்; எல்லா கன்னிப்பெண்களையும்விட அவளுக்கு ராஜாவிற்கு முன்பாக அதிக தயவும் இரக்கமும் கிடைத்தது; ஆகையால் ராஜா ராஜகிரீடத்தை அவளுடைய தலையின்மேல் வைத்து, அவளை வஸ்தியின் இடத்தில் பட்டத்து ராணியாக்கினான்.

அரசன், மற்றப் பெண்களை விட எஸ்தரை மிகுதியாக நேசித்தான். அவனுக்கு அவளைப் பிடித்துப்போனது. அவள் மற்ற பெண்களைவிட அவளை மிகுதியாக ஏற்றுக்கொண்டான். எனவே, அகாஸ்வேரு அரசன் எஸ்தரின் தலையில் கிரீடத்தை அணிவித்து வஸ்தியின் இடத்தில் அவளைப் புதிய அரசியாகச் செய்தான்.

பெண்கள் அனைவரிலும் எஸ்தரையே மன்னர் மிகுதியாய் விரும்பினார். கன்னிப் பெண்கள் அனைவருள்ளும் அவரே மன்னரின் கண்களில் மிகுதியான தயவு பெற்றார். எனவே அவர் அவரது தலைமீது அரசியின் மகுடம் வைத்து, வஸ்திக்குப் பதிலாக அவரை அரசி ஆக்கினார்.
