நான் என் உள்ளத்துக்கும் என் சித்தத்துக்கும் ஏற்றபடி செய்யத்தக்க உண்மையான ஒரு ஆசாரியனை எழும்பப்பண்ணி, அவனுக்கு நிலையான வீட்டைக் கட்டுவேன்; அவன் என்னால் அபிஷேகம் பண்ணப்பட்டவனுக்கு முன்பாகச் சகல நாளும் நடந்துகொள்ளுவான்.

நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டதையெல்லாம் நீ கேட்டுக் கைக்கொண்டு, நீ என் வழிகளில் நடந்து, என் தாசனாகிய தாவீது செய்ததுபோல, என் கட்டளைகளையும் என் கற்பனைகளையும் கைக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கு என் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்கிறதுண்டானால், நான் உன்னோடிருந்து, நான் தாவீதுக்குக் கட்டினதுபோல உனக்கும் நிலையான வீட்டைக் கட்டி இஸ்ரவேலை உனக்குத் தருவேன்.

இப்போதும் இன்றைக்கு அதோனியா கொலையுண்பான் என்று என்னைத் திடப்படுத்தினவரும், என்னை என் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதின் சிங்காசனத்தில் வீற்றிருக்கப்பண்ணி, தாம் சொன்னபடி எனக்கு வீட்டைக் கட்டுவித்தவருமாகிய கர்த்தருடைய ஜீவனைக் கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன் என்று சொல்லி,

உனக்கு வீடுகட்டுவேன் என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தராயிருக்கிற நீர் உமது அடியானின் செவிக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினீர்; ஆகையால் உம்மை நோக்கி இந்த விண்ணப்பத்தைச் செய்ய உமது அடியானுக்கு மனத்தைரியம் கிடைத்தது.

கர்த்தர் வீட்டைக் கட்டாராகில், அதைக் கட்டுகிறவர்களின் பிரயாசம் விருதா;

உமது அடியாளின் பாதகத்தை மன்னியும், கர்த்தர் என் ஆண்டவனுக்கு நிலையான வீட்டை நிச்சயமாய்க் கட்டுவார்; என் ஆண்டவன் கர்த்தருடைய யுத்தங்களை நடத்துகிறவராமே; நீர் உயிரோடே இருக்கும் நாளில் ஒரு பொல்லாப்பும் உம்மிலே காணப்படாதிருப்பதாக.

உன்னுடைய எல்லாச் சத்துருக்களுக்கும் உன்னை நீங்கலாக்கி, இளைப்பாறவும் பண்ணினேன்; இப்போதும் கர்த்தர் உனக்கு வீட்டை உண்டுபண்ணுவாரென்பதைக் கர்த்தர் உனக்கு அறிவிக்கிறார்.

கர்த்தரை நம்பி நன்மைசெய்; தேசத்தில் குடியிருந்து சத்தியத்தை மேய்ந்துகொள்.

நீங்கள் அதிகாலையில் எழுந்து நேரப்பட வேலையிலே தரித்து, வருத்தத்தின் அப்பத்தைச் சாப்பிடுகிறதும் விருதா; அவரே தமக்குப் பிரியமானவனுக்கு நித்திரை அளிக்கிறார்.

வீடு ஞானத்தினாலே கட்டப்பட்டு, விவேகத்தினாலே நிலைநிறுத்தப்படும்.

பாவி நூறுதரம் பொல்லாப்பை செய்து நீடித்து வாழ்ந்தாலும் என்ன? தேவனுக்கு அஞ்சி அவருக்கு முன்பாகப் பயந்திருப்பவர்களே நன்றாயிருப்பார்கள் என்று அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்.

நீ ரேகாபியருடைய வீட்டுக்குப் போய், அவர்களோடே பேசி, அவர்களைக் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் அறைகளில் ஒன்றிலே அழைத்துவந்து, அவர்களுக்குத் திராட்சரசம் குடிக்கக் கொடு என்றார்.
