யாத்திராகமம் 13:21
அவர்கள் இரவும் பகலும் வழிநடக்கக்கூடும்படிக்கு, கர்த்தர் பகலில் அவர்களை வழிநடத்த மேகஸ்தம்பத்திலும், இரவில் அவர்களுக்கு வெளிச்சங்காட்ட அக்கினிஸ்தம்பத்திலும் அவர்களுக்கு முன் சென்றார்.

அவர்கள் இரவும் பகலும் வழிநடக்கக்கூடும்படி, கர்த்தர் பகலில் அவர்களை வழிநடத்த மேகத்தூணிலும், இரவில் அவர்களுக்கு வெளிச்சம் காட்ட அக்கினித்தூணிலும் அவர்களுக்கு முன்பு சென்றார்.

கர்த்தர் பாதை காட்டினார். பகலில், கர்த்தர் ஜனங்களை வழிநடத்த உயரமான ஒரு மேகத்தையும், இரவு வேளையில் வழிநடத்த உயரமான ஒரு நெருப்புதூணையும் பயன்படுத்தினார். அவர்கள் இரவிலும் பயணம் செய்வதற்கேதுவாக இந்த நெருப்பு வெளிச்சம் தந்தது.

திருவிவிலியம்
ஆண்டவர், பகலில் அவர்களை வழிநடத்த மேகத் தூணிலும், இரவில் ஒளிகாட்ட நெருப்புத் தூணிலும் இருந்தார். பகலிலும் இரவிலும் அவர்கள் பயணம் செய்வதற்காக அவர் அவர்கள்முன் சென்று கொண்டிருந்தார்.
