பின்பு கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: இதை நினைவுகூரும்பொருட்டு, நீ ஒரு புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதி, யோசுவாவின் செவி கேட்கும்படி வாசி. அமலேக்கை வானத்தின் கீழெங்கும் இராதபடிக்கு நாசம் பண்ணுவேன் என்றார்.

பின்பு கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: இதை நினைவுகூரும்படி, நீ ஒரு புத்தகத்தில் எழுதி, யோசுவாவின் காதிலே கேட்கும்படி வாசி. அமலேக்கை வானத்தின் கீழே எங்கும் இல்லாதபடி நாசம் செய்வேன் என்றார்.

அப்போது கர்த்தர் மோசேயிடம், “இந்த யுத்தத்தைப்பற்றி எழுது. இங்கு நடந்தவற்றை ஜனங்கள் நினைவுகூரும்படியாக இக்காரியங்களை ஒரு புத்தகத்தில் எழுது. பூமியிலிருந்து அமலேக்கிய ஜனங்களை முற்றிலுமாக அழிப்பேன் என்பதை யோசுவாவுக்கு உறுதியாகக் கூறு” என்றார்.

ஆண்டவர் மோசேயை நோக்கி, “இதை நினைவுகூரும்படி ஒரு நூலில் எழுதிவை; ‘நான் அமலேக்கியரின் நினைவை வானத்தின் கீழிலிருந்து ஒழித்திடுவேன்’ என்பதை யோசுவாவின் காதுகளிலும் போட்டுவை” என்றார்.
