யாத்திராகமம் 2:23
சிலகாலம் சென்றபின், எகிப்தின் ராஜா மரித்தான். இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் அடிமைத்தனத்தினால் தவித்து, முறையிட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் அடிமைத்தனத்திலிருந்து முறையிடும் சத்தம் தேவசந்நிதியில் எட்டினது.

சிலகாலம் சென்றபின்பு, எகிப்தின் ராஜா இறந்தான். இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் அடிமைத்தனத்தினால் தவித்து, முறையிட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் அடிமைத்தனத்திலிருந்து முறையிடும் சத்தம் தேவசந்நிதியில் எட்டினது.

நீண்டகாலம் கழிந்தது. எகிப்தின் மன்னன் மரித்தான். ஆனால் இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களோ கடினமாக உழைப்பதற்கு தொடர்ந்து வற்புறுத்தப்பட்டனர். உதவிக்காக அவர்கள் அழுதார்கள்.

திருவிவிலியம்
இந்த நீண்ட காலத்தில் எகிப்திய மன்னன் இறந்துவிட்டான். இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களோ அடிமைத்தனத்தால் அழுது புலம்பினர். அடிமைத்தனத்தால் ஏற்பட்ட அவர்களது முறையீடு கடவுளை நோக்கி எழும்பிற்று.
