யாத்திராகமம் 22:14
ஒருவன் பிறனிடத்தில் எதையாகிலும் இரவலாக வாங்கினதுண்டானால், அதற்கு உடையவன்கூட இராதபோது, அது சேதப்பட்டாலும், செத்துப்போனாலும், அவன் அதற்கு உத்தரவாதம் பண்ணவேண்டும்.

ஒருவன் பிறனிடம் எதையாவது இரவலாக வாங்கியிருந்தால், அதற்குரியவன் கூட இல்லாதபோது, அது காயப்பட்டாலும், செத்துப்போனாலும், அவன் அதற்கு ஈடுசெய்யவேண்டும்.

“அண்டை வீட்டுக்காரனிடமிருந்து ஒருவன் எதையேனும் இரவல் பெற்றுக்கொண்டால், அவனே அப்பொருளுக்குப் பொறுப் பாளியாவான். ஒரு மிருகம் காயமுற்றாலோ அல்லது மரித்தாலோ அண்டை வீட்டுக்காரன் அம்மிருகத்தின் விலையை உரிமையாளனுக்குக் கொடுக்க வேண்டும். அப்பொருளின் உரிமையாளன் அங்கு இல்லாதிருந்தால், அண்டை வீட்டுக்காரன் அதற்குப் பொறுப்பேற்க வேண்டும்.
