இந்தக் கற்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய நாமங்களின்படியே பன்னிரண்டும், அவர்களுடைய நாமங்கள் அவைகளில் வெட்டப்பட்டவைகளுமாய் இருக்கவேண்டும்; பன்னிரண்டு கோத்திரங்களில் ஒவ்வொன்றினுடைய நாமம் ஒவ்வொன்றிலே முத்திரைவெட்டாய் வெட்டியிருக்கவேண்டும்.

இந்தக் கற்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் மகன்களின் பெயர்களின்படியே பன்னிரண்டும், அவர்களுடைய பெயர்கள் அவைகளில் வெட்டப்பட்டவைகளுமாக இருக்கவேண்டும்; பன்னிரண்டு கோத்திரங்களில் ஒவ்வொன்றினுடைய பெயர் ஒவ்வொன்றிலே முத்திரைவெட்டாக வெட்டியிருக்கவேண்டும்.

நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு மார்ப்பதக்கத்தில் மேற்கூறிய பன்னிரெண்டு கற்கள் இருக்க வேண்டும். இஸ்ரவேலின் மகன்கள் ஒவ்வொருவனுக்கும் ஒவ்வொரு கல் இருக்க வேண்டும். முத்திரை செய்கிற வண்ணமே ஒவ்வொரு கல்லிலும் இப்பெயர்கள் பொறிக்கப் பட வேண்டும்.

இந்தக் கற்கள் இஸ்ரயேல் புதல்வர் பெயர்களுக்கேற்பப் பன்னிரண்டு பெயர்களைக் கொண்டிருக்கும். அவை ஒவ்வொன்றிலும் ஒரு பெயர் வீதம், பன்னிரண்டு குலங்கங்களுக்காகப் பன்னிரன்டு பெயர்களும் பொறிக்கப்பட்டு முத்திரைபோல் விளங்கும்.
