அப்பொழுது மோசே தேவனை நோக்கி: நான் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிடத்தில் போய், உங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய தேவன் உங்களிடத்தில் என்னை அனுப்பினார் என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லும்போது, அவருடைய நாமம் என்ன என்று அவர்கள் என்னிடத்தில் கேட்டால், நான் அவர்களுக்கு என்ன சொல்லுவேன் என்றான்.

அப்பொழுது மோசே தேவனை நோக்கி: நான் இஸ்ரவேலர்களிடம் போய், உங்கள் முன்னோர்களுடைய தேவன் உங்களிடம் என்னை அனுப்பினார் என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லும்போது, அவருடைய நாமம் என்ன என்று அவர்கள் என்னிடத்தில் கேட்டால், நான் அவர்களுக்கு என்ன சொல்லுவேன் என்றான்.

அப்போது மோசே தேவனை நோக்கி, “நான் இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களிடம் சென்று, ‘உங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களின் தேவன் என்னை அனுப்பினார்’ என்று கூறினால், அவர்கள், ‘அவரது பெயரென்ன?’ என்று கேட்டால், நான் என்ன சொல்லட்டும்?” என்று கேட்டான்.

மோசே கடவுளிடம், “இதோ! இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களிடம் சென்று உங்கள் மூதாதையரின் கடவுள் என்னை உங்களிடம் அனுப்பியுள்ளார் என்று நான் சொல்ல, ‘அவர் பெயர் என்ன?’ என்று அவர்கள் என்னை வினவினால், அவர்களுக்கு என்ன சொல்வேன்?” என்று கேட்டார்.
