வருஷத்தில் ஒருமுறை ஆரோன் பாவநிவாரணபலியின் இரத்தத்தினால் அதின் கொம்புகளின்மேல் பிராயச்சித்தம்பண்ணுவானாக; உங்கள் தலைமுறை தோறும் வருஷத்தில் ஒருமுறை அதின் மேல் பிராயச்சித்தம்பண்ணுவானாக; அது கர்த்தருக்கு மகா பரிசுத்தமானது என்றார்.

வருடத்தில் ஒருமுறை ஆரோன் பாவநிவாரணபலியின் இரத்தத்தால் அதின் கொம்புகளின்மேல் பரிகாரம் செய்யவேண்டும்; உங்களுடைய தலைமுறைதோறும் வருடத்தில் ஒருமுறை அதின்மேல் பரிகாரம் செய்யவேண்டும்; அது கர்த்தருக்கு மகா பரிசுத்தமானது என்றார்.

“ஆண்டிற்கொருமுறை கர்த்தருக்கு ஒரு விசேஷ பலியை ஆரோன் செலுத்த வேண்டும். ஜனங்களின் பாவத்தைப் போக்குவதற்கு பாவப்பரிகார பலியின் இரத்தத்தை ஆரோன் பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும். பீடத்தின் கொம்புகளினருகே ஆரோன் இதனைச் செய்வான். இது பாவப்பரிகார நாள் எனப்படும். இது கர்த்தருக்கு மிகவும் பரிசுத்த நாள்” என்றார்.

ஆண்டுக்கு ஒருமுறை ஆரோன் அதன் கொம்புகள் மேல் பாவக் கழுவாய் நிறைவேற்றுவான். ஆண்டுக்கு ஒருமுறை பாவம்போக்கும் பலியின் இரத்தத்தில் கொஞ்சம் எடுத்துப் பாவக்கழுவாயை உங்கள் தலைமுறைதோறும் நிறைவேற்றுவான். ஏனெனில், அது ஆண்டவருக்குப் புனிதமிக்கதாகும்.
