யாத்திராகமம் 32:30
மறுநாளில் மோசே ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் மகா பெரிய பாவஞ்செய்தீர்கள்; உங்களுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யக்கூடுமோ என்று அறிய இப்பொழுது நான் கர்த்தரிடத்திற்கு ஏறிப்போகிறேன் என்றான்.

மறுநாளில் மோசே மக்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் மகா பெரிய பாவம் செய்தீர்கள்; உங்களுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யக்கூடுமோ என்று அறிய இப்பொழுது நான் கர்த்தரிடத்திற்கு ஏறிப்போகிறேன் என்றான்.

மறுநாள் காலையில் மோசே ஜனங்களை நோக்கி, “நீங்கள் கொடிய பாவம் செய்துள்ளீர்கள்! நான் கர்த்தரிடம் மேலே போவேன். உங்கள் பாவத்தை அவர் மன்னிப்பதற்காக நான் ஏதாவது செய்யக்கூடுமா எனப் பார்ப்பேன்” என்றான்.

மறுநாள் மோசே மக்களை நோக்கி, “நீங்கள் பெரும்பாவம் செய்துவிட்டீர்கள்; இப்போது நான் மலைமேலேறி ஆண்டவரிடம் செல்லப்போகிறேன். அங்கே ஒரு வேளை உங்கள் பாவத்திற்காக நான் கழுவாய் செய்யஇயலும்” என்றார்.
