ஏனென்றால், நீங்கள் வணங்காக் கழுத்துள்ள ஜனங்கள், நான் ஒரு நிமிஷத்தில் உங்கள் நடுவில் எழும்பி, உங்களை நிர்மூலம்பண்ணுவேன்; ஆகையால், நீங்கள் போட்டிருக்கிற உங்கள் ஆபரணங்களைக் கழற்றிப்போடுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது நான் உங்களுக்குச் செய்யவேண்டியதை அறிவேன் என்று இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குச் சொல் என்று கர்த்தர் மோசேயோடே சொல்லியிருந்தார்.

ஏனென்றால், நீங்கள் பிடிவாதமுள்ள மக்கள், நான் ஒரு நிமிடத்தில் உங்கள் நடுவில் எழும்பி, உங்களை அழிப்பேன்; ஆகையால், நீங்கள் போட்டிருக்கிற உங்கள் ஆபரணங்களைக் கழற்றிப்போடுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது நான் உங்களுக்குச் செய்யவேண்டியதைக்குறித்துத் தீர்மானிப்பேன் என்று இஸ்ரவேலர்களுக்குச் சொல் என்று கர்த்தர் மோசேயோடு சொல்லியிருந்தார்.

ஏனெனில் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி, “இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களுக்குக் கூறு, ‘நீங்கள் பிடிவாதமான ஜனங்கள். சிறிது காலம் உங்களோடு வந்தாலும் நான் உங்களை அழித்து விடக்கூடும். நான் உங்களுக்கு என்ன செய்வதென முடிவெடுக்கும்வரை உங்கள் அணிகலன்களைக் கழற்றிவிடுங்கள்’ என்று கூறு” என்றார்.

ஏனெனில், ஆண்டவர் மோசேயிடம், “நீங்கள் வணங்காக் கழுத்துள்ள மக்கள், நொடிப்பொழுதில் நான் உங்களிடையே வந்து, உங்களை அழித்தொழிக்கப்போகிறேன். உடனடியாக உங்கள் அணிகலன்களைக் கழற்றிவிடுங்கள். உங்களுக்கு என்ன செய்ய வேண்டுமென்பது எனக்குத் தெரியும் என இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களுக்கு அறிவி” என்று கூறியிருந்தார்.

For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.
