அந்தத் தேசத்தின் குடிகளோடே உடன்படிக்கை பண்ணுவாயானால், அவர்கள் தங்கள் தேவர்களைச் சோரமார்க்கமாய்ப் பின்பற்றி, தங்களுடைய தேவர்களுக்குப் பலியிடுவார்கள்; ஒருவன் உன்னை அழைக்கையில், நீ போய், அவன் பலியிட்டதிலே புசிப்பாய்;

அந்த தேசத்தின் குடிகளோடு உடன்படிக்கை செய்வாயானால், அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய தெய்வங்களைப் பின்பற்றி, விபசாரம் செய்தார்கள் தங்களுடைய தெய்வங்களுக்குப் பலியிடுவார்கள்; ஒருவன் உன்னை அழைக்கும்போது, நீ போய், அவனுடைய பலி செலுத்தியதில் சாப்பிடுவாய்;

“இத்தேசத்து ஜனங்களோடு எந்தவொரு ஒப்பந்தமும் செய்யாதீர்கள். அவ்வாறு செய்தால் அவர்கள் தங்கள் தெய்வங்களைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளும்போது நீங்களும் சேர்ந்துகொள்ள அவர்கள் உங்களை அழைப்பார்கள். பிறகு அவர்கள் செலுத்திய பலிகளை நீங்கள் உண்பீர்கள்.

நீ அந்நாட்டில் வாழ்வாரோடு உடன்படிக்கை செய்யாதே. ஏனெனில், அவர்கள் தங்கள் தெய்வங்கள் பின்னே வேசித்தனமாய் நடந்து தங்கள் தெய்வங்களுக்குப் பலியிடுகையில் உன்னை அழைக்க அவர்கள் பலிப்பொருளை நீயும் உண்ண நேரிடலாம்.
