அதற்கு மோசே: நான் உம்மை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டபின், நாளைக்கு வண்டுகள் பார்வோனையும் அவர் ஊழியக்காரரையும் அவர் ஜனங்களையும் விட்டு நீங்கும்படி, நான் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி வேண்டுதல் செய்வேன்; ஆனாலும், கர்த்தருக்குப் பலியிடுகிறதற்கு ஜனங்களைப் போகவிடாதபடிப் பார்வோன் இனி வஞ்சனை செய்யாதிருப்பாராக என்றான்.

அதற்கு மோசே: நான் உம்மைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டபின்பு, நாளைக்கு வண்டுகள் பார்வோனையும் அவருடைய வேலைக்காரர்களையும் அவருடைய மக்களையும் விட்டு நீங்கும்படி, நான் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி வேண்டுதல் செய்வேன்; ஆனாலும், கர்த்தருக்குப் பலியிடுகிறதற்கு மக்களைப் போகவிடாதபடிப் பார்வோன் இனி ஏமாற்றாதிருப்பாராக என்றான்.

மோசே, “பார், நான் போய் உன்னிடமிருந்தும், உன் ஜனங்களிடமிருந்தும், உன் அதிகாரிகளிடமிருந்தும், ஈக்களை நீக்குவதற்காக கர்த்தரைக் கேட்டுக்கொள்வேன். ஆனால் கர்த்தருக்கு ஜனங்கள் பலி செலுத்துவதை நீ தடுக்கக் கூடாது” என்றான்.

மோசே மறுமொழியாக, “நான் உம்மிடமிருந்தும் போய், பார்வோனிடமிருந்தும் அவன் அலுவலரிடமிருந்தும் அவன் குடிமக்களிடமிருந்தும் நாளைய தினமே ஈக்கள் அகன்றுவிட வேண்டும் என ஆண்டவரை நோக்கி மன்றாடுவேன். ஆனால், ஆண்டவருக்குப் பலியிடுமாறு மக்களை அனுப்பாமல் பார்வோன் இவ்வாறு தொடர்ந்து ஏமாற்ற வேண்டாம்” என்று கூறினார்.⒫
