அப்பொழுது வாற்கோதுமை கதிர்ப்பயிரும் சணல் தாள்ப்பயிருமாயிருந்தது; அதினால் சணலும் வாற்கோதுமையும் அழிக்கப்பட்டுப்போயிற்று.

அப்பொழுது வாற்கோதுமை கதிர்விட்டும் கொள்ளுப்பயிரானது பூ பூத்திருந்தது; அதினால் கொள்ளும் வாற்கோதுமையும் அழிக்கப்பட்டுப்போனது.

சணல் பயிர்களில் ஏற்கெனவே கதிர்களும், வாற்கோதுமைப் பயிரில் பூக்களும் தோன்றியிருந்தன. இச்செடிகள் அனைத்தும் அழிந்தன.

அப்போது சணல் பயிரும், வாற்கோதுமைப் பயிரும் அடிபட்டுப் போயின. வாற்கோதுமை கதிர்விட்டிருந்தது. சணல் பூத்து இருந்தது.
