இப்பொழுது நான் என் நேசரிடத்தில் அவருடைய திராட்சத்தோட்டத்தைக் குறித்து என் நேசருக்கேற்ற ஒரு பாட்டைப் பாடுவேன்; என் நேசருக்கு மகா செழிப்பான மேட்டிலே ஒரு திராட்சத்தோட்டம் உண்டு.

இஸ்ரவேல் பலனற்ற திராட்சச்செடி, அது தனக்குத்தானே கனிகொடுக்கிறது; அவன் தன் கனியின் திரளுக்குச் சரியாய்ப் பலிபீடங்களைத் திரளாக்குகிறான்; தங்கள் தேசத்தின் செழிப்புக்குச் சரியாய்ச் சிறப்பான படங்களைச் சிலைகளைச் செய்கிறார்கள்.

அத்திமரம் காய்காய்த்தது; திராட்சக்கொடிகள் பூப்பூத்து வாசனையும் பரிமளிக்கிறது; என் பிரியமே! என் ரூபவதியே! நீ எழுந்துவா.

திராட்சத்தோட்டங்களைக் காக்கிற குழிநரிகளையும் சிறுநரிகளையும் நமக்குப் பிடியுங்கள்; நம்முடைய திராட்சத்தோட்டங்கள் பூவும் பிஞ்சுமாயிருக்கிறதே.

பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே பழுத்த கனிகளைப் பார்க்கவும், திராட்சச்செடிகள் துளிர்விட்டு, மாதளஞ்செடிகள் பூத்ததா என்று அறியவும், வாதுமைத் தோட்டத்துக்குப் போனேன்.

அதிகாலையிலே திராட்சத்தோட்டங்களுக்குப் போவோம்; திராட்சக்கொடி துளிர்த்து அதின் பூ மலர்ந்ததோ என்றும், மாதளஞ்செடிகள் பூப்பூத்ததோ என்றும் பார்ப்போம்; அங்கே என் நேசத்தின் உச்சிதங்களை உமக்குத் தருவேன்.

பாகால் ஆமோனிலே சாலொமோனுக்கு ஒரு திராட்சத்தோட்டம் உண்டாயிருந்தது, அந்தத் தோட்டத்தைக் காவலாளிகள் வசத்திலே அதின் பலனுக்காக, ஒவ்வொருவன் ஆயிரம் வெள்ளிக்காசு கொண்டுவரும்படி விட்டார்.

வானங்களே, களித்துப் பாடுங்கள்; கர்த்தர் இதைச் செய்தார்; பூதலத்தின் தாழ்விடங்களே, ஆர்ப்பரியுங்கள்; பர்வதங்களே, காடுகளே, காட்டிலுள்ள சகல மரங்களே, கெம்பீரமாய் முழங்குங்கள்; கர்த்தர் யாக்கோபை மீட்டு, இஸ்ரவேலிலே மகிமைப்படுகிறார்.

ஆகையால் உங்கள்நிமித்தம் சீயோன் வயல்வெளியைப்போல உழப்பட்டு, எருசலேம் மண்மேடுகளாய்ப்போம், ஆலயத்தின் பர்வதம் காட்டுமேடுகளாய்ப்போம்.

தேவதாரு விருட்சங்களே, புலம்புங்கள்; கேதுருமரங்கள் விழுந்ததே; பிரபலமானவைகள் பாழாக்கப்பட்ட பாசானின் கர்வாலிமரங்களே, புலம்புங்கள்; அரணுள்ள சோலை கீழே தள்ளப்பட்டது.

வேறொரு உவமையைக் கேளுங்கள்: வீட்டெஜமானாகிய ஒரு மனுஷன் இருந்தான், அவன் ஒரு திராட்சத்தோட்டத்தை உண்டாக்கி, அதைச் சுற்றிலும் வேலியடைத்து, அதில் ஒரு ஆலையை நாட்டி, கோபுரத்தையும் கட்டி, தோட்டக்காரருக்கு அதைக் குத்தகையாக விட்டு, புறதேசத்துக்குப் போயிருந்தான்.
