அவன் ராஜவம்சத்திலே ஒருவனைத் தத்தெடுத்து, அவனோடே உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணி,

பிறகு நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் அரச குடும்பத்திலுள்ள ஒருவனிடம் ஒப்பந்தம் செய்துகொண்டான். நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் அம்மனிதனை வற்புறுத்தி ஒரு வாக்குறுதியைச் செய்ய வைத்தான். எனவே அவன் நேபுகாத்நேச்சாருக்கு உண்மையாக இருப்பதாக வாக்களித்தான். நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் அவனை யூதாவின் புதிய அரசனாக ஆக்கினான், பிறகு அவன் ஆற்றல்மிக்க மனிதர்களையெல்லாம் யூதாவை விட்டு வெளியேற்றினான்.

பின்னர், அவன் அரச மரபில் தோன்றிய ஒருவனைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து, அவனுடன் உடன்படிக்கை செய்து, அவனிடம் உறுதிமொழி வாங்கிக் கொண்டான். நாட்டின் தலைவர்களையும் சிறைப்பிடித்துச் சென்றான்.
