கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்: நான் ஏதோம் தேசத்துக்கு விரோதமாக என் கையை நீட்டி அதில் மனுஷரையும் மிருகங்களையும் இராதபடிக்குச் சங்காரம்பண்ணி, அதைத் தேமான் துவக்கித் தேதான்மட்டும் வனாந்தரமாக்குவேன்; பட்டயத்தால் விழுவார்கள்.

கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்: நான் ஏதோம் தேசத்திற்கு விரோதமாக என்னுடைய கையை நீட்டி அதில் மனிதர்களையும், மிருகங்களையும் இல்லாதபடி அழித்து, அதைத் தேமான் துவங்கித் தேதான்வரை வனாந்திரமாக்குவேன்; வாளினால் விழுவார்கள்.

எனவே எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் கூறுகிறார்: “நான் ஏதோமைத் தண்டிப்பேன். நான் ஏதோமிலுள்ள மனிதர்களையும் விலங்குகளையும் அழிப்பேன். நான் தேமான் முதல் தேதான் வரையுள்ள ஏதோம் நாடு முழுவதையும் அழிப்பேன். ஏதோமியர்கள் போரில் கொல்லப்படுவார்கள்.
