நான் இஸ்ரவேலாகிய என் ஜனத்தின் கையினால் ஏதோமினிடத்தில் பழிவாங்குவேன்; அவர்கள் என் கோபத்தின்படியும் என் உக்கிரத்தின்படியும் ஏதோமுக்குச் செய்வார்கள்; அப்பொழுது நான் பழிவாங்குவது இன்னதென்று அறிந்துகொள்வாய் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

நான் இஸ்ரவேலாகிய என்னுடைய மக்களின் கையினால் ஏதோமியர்களிடத்தில் பழிவாங்குவேன்; அவர்கள் என்னுடைய கோபத்தையும், கடுங்கோபத்தையும் ஏதோமுக்கு காட்டுவார்கள்; அப்பொழுது நான் பழிவாங்குவது இன்னதென்று அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

நான் இஸ்ரவேலர்களாகிய என் ஜனங்களைப் பயன்படுத்தி, ஏதோமைப் பழிவாங்குவேன். இவ்வாறு இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்கள் ஏதோமிற்கு விரோதமாக என் கோபத்தைக் காட்டுவார்கள், பிறகு ஏதோம் ஜனங்கள், அவர்களை நான் தண்டித்ததை அறிவார்கள்” எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் இவற்றைக் கூறினார்.

என் மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரயேலரின் கையால் ஏதோமைப் பழிவாங்குவேன். அவர்களும் என் சினத்திற்கும் சீற்றத்திற்கும் தக்கவாறு ஏதோமுக்குச் செய்வார்கள். அது என் பழிவாங்குதலை உணர்ந்து கொள்ளும், என்கிறார் தலைவராகிய ஆண்டவர்.
