அம்மோன் புத்திரரைக்குறித்துக் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: இஸ்ரவேலுக்குக் குமாரர் இல்லையோ? அவனுக்குச் சுதந்தரவாளி இல்லையோ? அவர்கள் ராஜா காத்தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொண்டு, அதின் ஜனம் இவன் பட்டணங்களில் குடியிருப்பானேன்?

மனுபுத்திரனே, நீ இஸ்ரவேலின் பர்வதங்களுக்கு நேராக உன் முகத்தைத் திருப்பி, அவைகளுக்கு விரோதமாகத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைத்துச் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்,

கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவன்றால்: அம்மோன் புத்திரரின் மூன்று பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும் நாலு பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும் நான் அவர்கள் ஆக்கினையைத் திருப்பமாட்டேன்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் எல்லைகளை விஸ்தாரமாக்கும்படிக்குக் கீலேயாத் தேசத்தின் கர்ப்பஸ்திரீகளைக் கீறிப்போட்டார்களே.

இளையவளும் ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்று, அவனுக்குப் பென்னம்மி என்று பேரிட்டாள்; அவன் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இருக்கிற அம்மோன் புத்திரருக்குத் தகப்பன்.

இதோ, நாட்கள் வரும்; அப்பொழுது விருத்தசேதனமில்லாதவர்களோடுங்கூட விருத்தசேதனமுள்ள யாவரையும்,

ஏதோமுக்கும், மோவாபுக்கும், அம்மோன் புத்திரருக்கும்,

அவைகளை எருசலேமுக்குச் சிதேக்கியா ராஜாவினிடத்தில் வரும் ஸ்தானாபதிகள் கையிலே ஏதோமின் ராஜாவுக்கும் மோவாபின் ராஜாவுக்கும், அம்மோன் புத்திரரின் ராஜாவுக்கும், தீருவின் ராஜாவுக்கும், சீதோனின் ராஜாவுக்கும் அனுப்பி,

மனுபுத்திரனே, நீ உன் முகத்தைத் தென்திசைக்கு நேரே திருப்பி, தெற்குக்கு விரோதமாக உன் வசனத்தைப்பொழிந்து, தென்புறமான வயல்வெளியின் காட்டுக்கு விரோதமாகத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைத்து,

மனுபுத்திரனே, நீ உன் முகத்தை எருசலேமுக்கு நேராகத் திருப்பி, பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலங்களுக்கு விரோதமாக உன் வசனத்தைப் பொழிந்து, இஸ்ரவேல் தேசத்துக்கு விரோதமாகத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைத்து,

பின்னும் மனுபுத்திரனே, நீ தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லு: அம்மோன் புத்திரரையும் அவர்கள் சொல்லும் நிந்தனைகளையும் குறித்துக் கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால்,

மனுபுத்திரனே, நீ உன் முகத்தை சேயீர்மலைக்கு நேராகத் திருப்பி அதற்கு விரோதமாகத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைத்து,

மோவாப் செய்த நிந்தனையையும், அம்மோன் புத்திரர் என் ஜனத்தை நிந்தித்து, அவர்கள் எல்லையைக் கடந்துபெருமை பாராட்டிச் சொன்ன தூஷணங்களையும் கேட்டேன்.
