மனுபுத்திரனே, தீருவானது எருசலேமுக்கு விரோதமாக, ஆ ஆ, ஜனசதளங்களின் ஒலிமுவாசலாயிருந்த நகரி இடிக்கப்பட்டதென்றும் என்னிடமாக, எல்லாம் புரண்டுவரும், அது பாழாக்கப்பட்டிருக்க நான் நிரப்பப்படுவேன் என்றும் சொல்லுகிறபடியினால்,

மனிதகுமாரனே, தீருவானது எருசலேமுக்கு விரோதமாக, ஆ ஆ, மக்களின் வாசலாக இருந்த நகரம் இடிக்கப்பட்டதென்றும் என்னிடமாக எல்லாம் புரண்டுவரும், அது பாழாக்கப்பட்டிருக்க நான் நிரப்பப்படுவேன் என்றும் சொல்லுகிறபடியினால்,

“மனுபுத்திரனே, எருசலேமைப் பற்றி தீரு கெட்டவற்றைச் சொன்னது: ‘ஆ, ஆ! ஜனங்களைப் பாதுகாக்கிற நகரவாசல் அழிக்கப்பட்டது! நகரவாசல் எனக்காகத் திறக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. இந்நகரம் (எருசலேம்) அழிக்கப்படுகிறது எனவே அதிலிருந்து எனக்கு ஏராளமான விலைமதிப்புள்ள பொருட்கள் கிடைக்கும்!’”

⁽மானிடா! எருசலேமைக் குறித்து␢ தீர் நகரம் கூறியது: ‘ஆகா!␢ நாடுகளின் கதவுகள் உடைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.␢ அந்நகரம் எனக்குத் திறந்துள்ளது.␢ அது அழிவில் வீழ்ந்துகிடப்பதால்␢ நான் வளமடைவேன்.’⁾
