ஆகையால், இதோ, நான் உனக்கும் உன் நதிகளுக்கும் விரோதமாக வந்து, மிக்தோல்முதல் எத்தியோப்பியாவின் எல்லையிலுள்ள செவெனேவரைக்கும் எகிப்துதேசத்தை அவாந்தரமும் பாழுமான வனாந்தரங்களாக்குவேன்.

எனவே, நான் (தேவன்) உனக்கு விரோதமாக இருக்கிறேன். உன் நைல் நதியின் பல கிளைகளுக்கும் நான் விரோதமானவன். நான் எகிப்தை முழுமையாக அழிப்பேன். நகரங்கள் மிக்தோலிலிருந்து செவெனேவரை, எத்தியோப்பியா எல்லைவரை வெறுமையாகும்.

எனவே, நான் உனக்கெதிராகவும் உன் ஆறுகளுக்கு எதிராகவும் இருக்கிறேன். மிக்தோல் முதல் சீனிம் வரை — கூசு எல்லைப் பகுதிவரை — எகிப்து நாட்டைப் பாழடைந்த பாலைநிலமாக மாற்றுவேன்.

Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from the tower of Syene even unto the border of Ethiopia.
