‘எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் இவற்றைக் கூறுகிறார்: “‘எகிப்து மன்னனான பார்வோனே, நான் உனக்கு விரோதமானவன். நீ நைல் நதியின் நடுவிலே பெரிய பூதம்போன்று படுத்துக்கொண்டு, “இது என்னுடைய நதி! நான் இந்த நதியை உண்டாக்கினேன்!” என்று சொல்கிறாய்.

⁽அவனிடம் சொல்; தலைவராகிய ஆண்டவர் கூறுவது இதுவே;␢ எகிப்து மன்னனாகிய பார்வோனே!␢ நான் உனக்கு எதிராய்␢ இருக்கின்றேன்;␢ உன் ஆறுகளின் நடுவே␢ வாழும் பெரிய முதலை நீ!␢ “நைல் என்னுடையது;␢ நானே அதை உருவாக்கிக்கொண்டேன்”␢ என்கிறாய் நீ!⁾

Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.
