எகிப்தை ஆதரிக்கிறவர்களும் விழுவார்கள்; அதினுடைய பலத்தின் முக்கியமும் தாழ்ந்துபோம் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; அதிலே மிகதோல்முதல் செவெனேவரைக்கும் பட்டயத்தினால் விழுவார்களென்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

“‘எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் இவற்றைக் கூறுகிறார்: எகிப்திற்கு ஆதரவளிக்கும் ஜனங்கள் வீழ்வார்கள்! அவளது பலத்தின் பெருமை அழியும். மிக்தோல் முதல் செவெனே வரைக்குமுள்ள எகிப்திய ஜனங்கள் போரில் கொல்லப்படுவார்கள். எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் இவற்றைக் கூறுகிறார்!

⁽ஆண்டவர் கூறுவது இதுவே;␢ எகிப்தின் கூட்டு நாடுகள் வீழும்;␢ அதன் பெருமைக்குரிய வலிமை␢ தோல்வியுறும்;␢ மிக்தோல் முதல் சீனிம் வரையிலுள்ள␢ பகுதிக்குள் எல்லாரும் வாளால் வீழ்வர்,␢ என்கிறார் தலைவராகிய ஆண்டவர்.⁾

Thus saith the LORD; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord GOD.

Thus saith Jehovah: They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Seveneh shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord Jehovah.
