தேவனுடைய வனத்திலுள்ள கேதுருக்கள் அதை மறைக்கக் கூடாதிருந்தது; தேவதாரு விருட்சங்கள் அதின் கொப்புகளுக்குச் சமானமல்ல; அர்மோன் மரங்கள் அதின் கிளைகளுக்கு நிகரல்ல; தேவனுடைய வனத்திலுள்ள ஒரு விருட்சமும் அலங்காரத்திலே அதற்கு ஒப்பல்ல.

தேவனுடைய தோட்டத்தில் உள்ள கேதுரு மரங்கள் கூட இம்மரத்தைப்போன்று இவ்வளவு பெரிதாக இல்லை. தேவதாரு மரங்களுக்கு இவ்வளவு கிளைகள் இல்லை. அர்மோன் மரங்களுக்கு அதைப்போன்று கிளைகள் இல்லை. இந்த மரத்தைப்போன்று தேவனுடைய தோட்டத்தில் உள்ள எந்த மரமும் அழகானதாக இல்லை.

⁽கடவுளின் சோலையிலிருந்த␢ கேதுரு மரங்களுக்கு␢ அதற்குச் சமமான கிளைகள் இல்லை;␢ அர்மோன் மரங்களுக்கு␢ அதற்கு இணையான␢ கொப்புகள் இல்லை;␢ கடவுளின் சோலையிலிருந்த␢ எந்த மரமும் அதைப்போன்று␢ அழகுடன் இருந்ததில்லை.⁾

The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and the chestnut trees were not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like unto him in his beauty.
