இது புலம்பல்; இப்படிப் புலம்புவார்கள்; இப்படி ஜாதிகளின் குமாரத்திகள் புலம்புவார்கள்; இப்படி எகிப்துக்காகவும், அதினுடைய எல்லாத் திரளான ஜனங்களுக்காகவும் புலம்புவார்கள் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

“ஜனங்கள் எகிப்திற்காகப் பாடவேண்டிய சோகப் பாடல் இதுதான். வேறு நாடுகளில் உள்ள மகள்கள் (நகரங்கள்) எகிப்திற்காக இச்சோகப் பாடலைப் பாடுவார்கள். இது அவர்கள் எகிப்திற்காகவும் அதன் ஜனங்களுக்காகவும் பாடுகிற சோகப் பாடல்.” எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் அவற்றைக் கூறினார்.
