நீ அவர்களை நோக்கி: பாழான இடங்களில் இருக்கிறவர்கள் பட்டயத்தால் விழுவார்கள்; வெளிகளில் இருக்கிறவனை மிருகங்களுக்கு இரையாக ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன்; கோட்டைகளிலும் கெபிகளிலும் இருக்கிறவர்கள் கொள்ளைநோயால் சாவார்கள்.

நீ அவர்களை நோக்கி: பாழான இடங்களில் இருக்கிறவர்கள் வாளால் விழுவார்கள்; வெளிகளில் இருக்கிறவனை மிருகங்களுக்கு இரையாக ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன்; கோட்டைகளிலும் குகைகளிலும் இருக்கிறவர்கள் கொள்ளைநோயால் மரிப்பார்கள்.

“‘கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் இவற்றைச் சொன்னார் என்று நீ அவர்களிடம் சொல்ல வேண்டும்: “என் உயிரின்மேல் ஆணை, அழிந்துபோன நகரங்களில் வாழும் அந்த ஜனங்கள் வாளால் கொல்லப்படுவார்கள் என்று நான் வாக்களித்தேன். எவனாவது நாட்டைவிட்டுவெளியேஇருந்தால்,நான் அவனை மிருகங்கள் கொன்று தின்னச் செய்வேன். ஜனங்கள் கோட்டைகளுக்குள்ளும் குகைகளுக்குள்ளும் மறைந்திருந்தால். அவர்கள் நோயால் மரிப்பார்கள்.

அவர்களுக்கு இதைச் சொல்; தலைவராகிய ஆண்டவர் கூறுவது இதுவே; என் மேல் ஆணை! பாழிடம்வாழ் எஞ்சியோர் வாளால் வீழ்வர். வயல் வெளியில் இருப்போரைக் காட்டு விலங்குகளுக்கு இரையாய் அளிப்பேன். கோட்டையிலும் குகையிலும் தங்கியிருப்போர் கொள்ளை நோயால் மடிவர்.

Say thou thus unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; As I live, surely they that are in the wastes shall fall by the sword, and him that is in the open field will I give to the beasts to be devoured, and they that be in the forts and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.

Thus shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: As I live, surely they that are in the waste places shall fall by the sword; and him that is in the open field will I give to the beasts to be devoured; and they that are in the strongholds and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.
