ஜனங்கள் கூடிவருகிற வழக்கத்தின்படி உன்னிடத்தில் வந்து, உனக்கு முன்பாக என் ஜனங்கள்போல் உட்கார்ந்து, உன் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்கிறார்கள்; ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் அவைகளின்படி செய்கிறதில்லை; அவர்கள் தங்கள் வாயினாலே இன்பமாய்ப் பேசுகிறார்கள், அவர்கள் இருதயமோ பொருளாசையைப் பின்பற்றிப்போகிறது.

மக்கள் கூடிவருகிற வழக்கத்தின்படி உன்னிடத்தில் வந்து, உனக்கு முன்பாக என்னுடைய மக்களைப்போல் உட்கார்ந்து, உன்னுடைய வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்கிறார்கள்; ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் அவைகளின்படி செய்கிறதில்லை; அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய வாயினாலே அன்பாய் இருக்கிறோம் என்று சொல்கிறார்கள், அவர்கள் இருதயமோ பொருளாசையைப் பின்பற்றிப்போகிறது.

எனவே அவர்கள் உன்னிடம் எனது ஜனங்களைப் போல வருகிறார்கள். அவர்கள் எனது ஜனங்களைப்போன்று உன் முன்னால் அமருகிறார்கள். அவர்கள் உன் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்கிறார்கள். ஆனால் அவர்கள் நீ சொல்வதைச் செய்யமாட்டார்கள். அவர்கள் தாம் நல்லதென்று எதை உணருகின்றார்களோ அவற்றையே செய்கிறார்கள். அவர்கள் பிற ஜனங்களை ஏமாற்றிப் பணம் சேர்க்கமட்டுமே விரும்புகிறார்கள்.

என் மக்கள் வழக்கம்போல் உன்னிடம் வருகின்றனர். அவர்கள் முன்னிலையில் அமர்ந்து உன் சொற்களைக் கேட்கின்றனர். ஆனால் அவற்றையோ கடைப்பிடிப்பதில்லை. அவர்களின் உதடுகள் அன்பொழுகப் பேசுகின்றன; உள்ளமோ நேர்மையற்ற பொருளைத் தேடி ஓடுகின்றது.
