மனுபுத்திரனே, இஸ்ரவேலின் மேய்ப்பருக்கு விரோதமாகத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரை; நீ தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைத்து அவர்களோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் மேய்ப்பருக்குச் சொல்லுகிறார்; தங்களையே மேய்க்கிற இஸ்ரவேலின் மேய்ப்பருக்கு ஐயோ! மேய்ப்பர் அல்லவா மந்தையை மேய்க்கவேண்டும்.

மனிதகுமாரனே, இஸ்ரவேலின் மேய்ப்பருக்கு விரோதமாகத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்; நீ தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லி, அவர்களுடன் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் மேய்ப்பருக்குச் சொல்லுகிறார்; தங்களையே மேய்க்கிற இஸ்ரவேலின் மேய்ப்பருக்கு ஐயோ! மேய்ப்பர் அல்லவா மந்தையை மேய்க்கவேண்டும்.

“மனுபுத்திரனே, எனக்காக இஸ்ரவேலின் மேய்ப்பர்களுக்கு (தலைவர்கள்) விரோதமாகப் பேசு. எனக்காக நீ அவர்களிடம் பேசு. எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் இவற்றைச் சொன்னார் என்று அவர்களிடம் கூறு: ‘இஸ்ரவேலின் மேய்ப்பர்களாகிய நீங்கள் உங்களுக்கு மட்டுமே உணவு ஊட்டுகிறீர்கள். இது உங்களுக்கு மிகத் தீமையாகும்! நீங்கள் ஏன் உங்கள் மந்தையை மேய்க்கவில்லை?

மானிடா! இஸ்ரயேலின் ஆயர்களுக்கு எதிராக இறைவாக்குரை. அவர்களுக்கு இறைவாக்குரைத்துச்சொல். தலைவராகிய ஆண்டவர் கூறுவது இதுவே; தாங்களே மேய்ந்துகொள்ளும் இஸ்ரயேலின் ஆயர்களுக்கு ஐயோ கேடு! ஆயர்கள் மந்தையையன்றோ மேய்க்க வேண்டும்!
