நான் மாகோகிடத்திலும் தீவுகளில் நிர்விசாரமாய்க் குடியிருக்கிறவர்களிடத்திலும் அக்கினியை அனுப்புவேன்; அப்பொழுது நான் கர்த்தரென்று அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள்.

தேவன் சொன்னார்: “நான் மாகோகுக்கு விரோதமாகவும் தீவுகளில் பாதுகாப்பாக வாழ்கிற ஜனங்களுக்கு விரோதமாகவும் நெருப்பை அனுப்புவேன். பிறகு அவர்கள் நானே கர்த்தர் என்பதை அறிவார்கள்.

நான் எகிப்திலே தீக்கொளுத்தும்போதும், உனக்குத் துணைநின்ற யாவரும் முறிக்கப்படும்போதும், நான் கர்த்தர் என்று அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள்.

தீருவினுடைய எல்லா ராஜாக்களுக்கும், சீதோனுடைய எல்லா ராஜாக்களுக்கும், சமுத்திரத்துக்கு அக்கரையான தீவுகளின் ராஜாக்களுக்கும்,

எகிப்தில் தீக்கொளுத்துவேன்; சீன் மகா வேதனை அடையும்; நோ பட்டணம் தகர்ந்து இடிந்துபோகும்; நோப்புக்குத் தினந்தோறும் நெருக்கங்களுண்டாகும்.

ஆசகேலின் வீட்டிலே தீக்கொளுத்துவேன்; அது பெனாதாத்தின் அரமனைகளைப் பட்சிக்கும்.

தர்ஷீசின் ராஜாக்களும் தீவுகளின் ராஜாக்களும் காணிக்கைகளைக் கொண்டுவருவார்கள்; ஷேபாவிலும் சேபாவிலுமுள்ள ராஜாக்கள் வெகுமானங்களைக் கொண்டுவருவார்கள்.

நான் அவர்களில் ஒரு அடையாளத்தைக் கட்டளையிடுவேன்; அவர்களில் தப்பினவர்களை, என் கீர்த்தியைக் கேளாமலும், என் மகிமையைக்காணாமலுமிருக்கிற ஜாதிகளின் தேசங்களாகிய தர்ஷீசுக்கும் வில்வீரர் இருக்கிற பூலுக்கும், லூதுக்கும், தூபாலுக்கும், யாவானுக்கும், தூரத்திலுள்ள தீவுகளுக்கும் அனுப்புவேன்; அவர்கள் என் மகிமையை ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே அறிவிப்பார்கள்.

காத்சாவின் மதிலுக்குள் தீக்கொளுத்துவேன்; அது அதினுடைய அரமனைகளைப் பட்சிக்கும.

தீருவின் மதிலுக்குள் தீக்கொளுத்துவேன்; அது அதின் அரமனைகளைப் பட்சிக்கும் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

அவருடைய கோபத்துக்கு முன்பாக நிற்பவன் யார்? அவருடைய உக்கிரகோபத்திலே தரிப்பவன் யார்? அவருடைய எரிச்சல் அக்கினியைப்போல இறைக்கப்படுகிறது; அவராலே கன்மலைகள் பேர்க்கப்படும்.

அப்பொழுது அந்த ஐந்து மனுஷரும் புறப்பட்டு, லாயீசுக்குப் போய், அதில் குடியிருக்கிற ஜனங்கள் சீதோனியருடைய வழக்கத்தின்படியே, பயமில்லாமல் அமரிக்கையும் சுகமுமாய் இருக்கிறதையும், தேசத்திலே அவர்களை அடக்கி ஆள யாதொரு அதிகாரியும் இல்லை என்பதையும், அவர்கள் சீதோனியருக்குத் தூரமானவர்கள் என்பதையும், அவர்களுக்கு ஒருவரோடும் கவை காரியம் இல்லை என்பதையும் கண்டு,

கோமேரும் அவனுடைய எல்லா இராணுவங்களும் வடதிசையிலுள்ள தோகர்மா வம்சத்தாரும் அவர்களுடைய எல்லா இராணுவங்களுமாகிய திரளான ஜனங்கள் உன்னுடனேகூட இருப்பார்கள்.

உன் இருதயத்தில் யோசனைகள் எழும்ப, நீ பொல்லாத நினைவை நினைத்து,

சேபா தேசத்தாரும், தேதான் தேசத்தாரும், தர்ஷீசின் வர்த்தகரும் அதினுடைய பாலசிங்கங்களான அனைவரும் உன்னை நோக்கி: நீ கொள்ளையிட அல்லவோ வருகிறாயென்றும், நீ சூறையாடி, வெள்ளியையும் பொன்னையும் ஆஸ்தியையும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறதற்கும், ஆடுகளையும் மாடுகளையும் பிடிக்கிறதற்கும், மிகவும் கொள்ளையிடுகிறதற்கும் அல்லவோ உன்னுடைய கூட்டத்தைக் கூட்டினாயென்றும் சொல்லுவார்கள்.

அந்நாளிலே இஸ்ரவேல் தேசத்திலே பெரிய அதிர்ச்சி உண்டாகி,

கர்த்தர் அவர்கள்மேல் கெடியாயிருப்பார்; பூமியிலுள்ள தேவர்களையெல்லாம் மெலிந்துபோகப்பண்ணுவார்; அப்பொழுது தீவுகளிலுள்ள புறஜாதிகளும் அவரவர் தங்கள் தங்கள் ஸ்தானத்திலிருந்து அவரைப் பணிந்துகொள்வார்கள்.
