பின்னும் அவர்; மனுபுத்திரனே, இதோ, அப்பமும் தண்ணீரும் அவர்களுக்குக் குறையவும், அவனவன் திடுக்கிடவும், அவர்கள் தங்கள் அக்கிரமத்திலே வாடிப்போகவும்,

பிறகு தேவன் என்னிடம் சொன்னார்: “மனுபுத்திரனே, எருசலேமிற்கு விநியோகம் ஆகும் உணவை அழிக்கிறேன். ஜனங்களிடம் உண்பதற்குச் சிறிதளவு உணவு உள்ளது. அவர்கள் தமது உணவு விநியோகத்தைப் பற்றிக் கவலையோடு இருப்பார்கள். அவர் களிடம் குடிப்பதற்குச் சிறிது அளவு தண்ணீர் மட்டுமே இருக்கும். அவர்கள் அந்தத் தண்ணீரைக் குடிக்கும்போது மிகவும் பயப்படுவார்கள்.

மேலும் அவர் என்னை நோக்கி, “மானிடா! இதோ நான் எருசலேமில் உணவின் தரவைக் குறையச் செய்வேன். அவர்கள் அப்பத்தை நிறைபார்த்துக் கவலையோடு உண்பர். தண்ணீரை அளவு பார்த்துக் கலக்கத்தோடு குடிப்பர்.
