அவருடைய சிங்காரத்தின் மகிமையை அகந்தைக்கென்று வைத்து, அதிலே அருவருக்கப்படத்தக்கதும் சீயென்றிகழப்படத்தக்கதுமான காரியங்களின் விக்கிரகங்களை உண்டு பண்ணினார்கள்; ஆகையால் நான் அவைகளை அவர்களுக்கு வேண்டாவெறுப்பாக்கி,

“அந்த ஜனங்கள் தம் அழகான நகைகளைப் பயன்படுத்தி ஒரு சிலையைச் செய்தனர். அவர்கள் அச்சிலைக்காகப் பெருமைப்பட்டனர். அவர்கள் தமது வெறுக்கத் தக்க சிலைகளைச் செய்தனர்! அவர்கள் நரகலான அவற்றைச் செய்தனர். எனவே நான் (தேவன்) அவர்களை அழுக்கு நிறைந்த கந்தையைப்போல் வெளியே எறிவேன்.

⁽அழகிய அணிகலன்களைப்␢ பகட்டுக்காகப் பயன்படுத்தினர்;␢ அவற்றால் தங்கள்␢ அருவருக்கத்தக்க சிலைகளையும்␢ வெறுக்கத்தக்க பொருள்களையும்␢ செய்துகொண்டனர்;␢ எனவே அவற்றை அவர்களுக்குத்␢ தீட்டான பொருளாக␢ மாறச் செய்தேன்.⁾

As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them.
