என்னைக் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் உட்பிராகாரத்திலே கொண்டுபோனார்; இதோ, கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் வாசல் நடையிலே மண்டபத்துக்கும் பலிபீடத்துக்கும் நடுவே, ஏறக்குறைய இருபத்தைந்து புருஷர், தங்கள் முதுகைத் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்துக்கும் தங்கள் முகத்தைக் கீழ்த்திசைக்கும், நேராகத் திருப்பினவர்களாய்க் கிழக்கே இருக்கும் சூரியனை நமஸ்கரித்தார்கள்.

பிறகு கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலுள்ள உட்பிரகாரத்திற்கு அழைத்துச் சென்றார். அந்த இடத்தில் 25 பேர் குனிந்து தொழுதுகொண்டிருந்ததைப் பார்த்தேன். அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் வாசல் நடையிலே மண்டபத்துக்கும் பலிபீடத்துக்கும் நடுவிலே தவறான திசை நோக்கி இருந்தனர்! அவர்களின் முதுகுகள் பரிசுத்த இடத்தின் பக்கம் திரும்பியிருக்க அவர்கள் சூரியனைப் பார்த்து குனிந்து வணங்கிக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்!

அவர் என்னை ஆண்டவரது இல்லத்தின் உள் கூடத்திற்குக் கூட்டி வந்தார். அங்கே ஆண்டவரது கோவிலின் வாயிற்பகுதியில், மண்டபத்திற்கும், பீடத்திற்கும் இடையில், ஏறக்குறைய இருபத்தைந்து பேரைக் கண்டேன். அவர்களின் முதுகு ஆண்டவரது இல்லத்தையும் முகம் கிழக்குத் திசையையும் நோக்கி இருந்தன. அவர்கள் கிழக்கே பார்த்துக் கதிரவனைத் தொழுது கொண்டிருந்தனர்.
