உம்முடைய பிதாக்களின் நடபடிபுஸ்தகங்களில் சோதித்துப்பார்க்க உத்தரவாகவேண்டும்; அப்பொழுது இந்தப் பட்டணம் கலகமும், ராஜாக்களுக்கும் சீமைகளுக்கும் நஷ்டமும் உண்டாக்குகிற பட்டணம் என்றும், பூர்வகாலமுதல் கலாதி உள்ளதாயிருந்தபடியினால் இந்தப் பட்டணம் பாழ்க்கடிக்கப்பட்டது என்றும், அந்த நடபடிபுஸ்தகங்களில் கண்டறியலாம்.

உம்முடைய பிதாக்களின் நடபடி புத்தகங்களில் சோதித்துப்பார்க்கக் கட்டளையிடவேண்டும்; அப்பொழுது இந்தப் பட்டணம் கலகமும், ராஜாக்களுக்கும் தேசத்திற்கும் நஷ்டமும் உண்டாக்குகிற பட்டணம் என்றும், பூர்வகாலமுதல் கலகம் உள்ளதாயிருந்ததால் இந்தப் பட்டணம் அழிக்கப்பட்டது என்றும், அந்த நடபடி புத்ததகங்களில் கண்டறியலாம்.

அரசர் அர்தசஷ்டாவே, உங்களுக்கு முன்னால் அரசாண்ட அரசர்கள் எழுதி வைத்தவற்றை நீங்கள் தேடி எடுக்குமாறு கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறோம். அவற்றில் எருசலேம் எப்பொழுதும் அரசர்களுக்கு எதிராகக் கலகம் செய்திருப்பதை நீங்கள் காண முடியும். இதனால் பல நாடுகளுக்கும் அரசர்களுக்கும் தொல்லைகள் ஏற்பட்டன. ஆரம்ப காலம் முதலே பல கலகங்கள் இங்கே நடந்திருக்கின்றன. அதனால்தான் எருசலேம் அழிக்கப்பட்டது.

எனவே, உம்முடைய முன்னோரின் வரலாற்று ஏடுகளைப் புரட்டிப் பார்த்தால் அதில் அந்நகர் கலகம் மிகுந்த அரசர்களுக்கும், மாநிலங்களுக்கும் தீங்கு விளைவிக்கும் என்பதைக் கண்டுணர்வீர். அதில் தொன்றுதொட்டுக் கலகங்கள் எழுந்துள்ளன. அதன் பொருட்டே அந்நகர் அழிக்கப்பட்டது.
