அப்பொழுது சிறையிருப்பிலிருந்து வந்தவர்களுடைய குற்றத்தினிமித்தம் இஸ்ரவேலுடைய தேவனின் வார்த்தைகளுக்கு நடுங்குகிற யாவரும், என்னோடே கூடிக்கொண்டார்கள்; நானோ அந்திப்பலி செலுத்தப்படுமட்டும் திகைத்தவனாய் உட்கார்ந்துகொண்டிருந்தேன்.

அப்பொழுது சிறையிருப்பிலிருந்து வந்தவர்களுடைய குற்றத்தின் காரணமாக இஸ்ரவேலுடைய தேவனின் வார்த்தைகளுக்கு நடுங்குகிற அனைவரும் என்னுடன் கூடிக்கொண்டார்கள்; நானோ மாலை பலி செலுத்தப்படும்வரை திகைத்தவனாக உட்கார்ந்துகொண்டிருந்தேன்.

பிறகு, தேவனுடைய சட்டங்கள் மீது மரியாதைக் கொண்ட ஒவ்வொருவரும் அஞ்சினார்கள். அவர்கள், அடிமைத்தனத்திலிருந்து மீண்ட இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் தேவனுக்கு உண்மையுள்ளவர்கள் அல்ல என்பதை அறிந்ததால் பயந்தார்கள். நான் அதிர்ச்சியும் கலக்கமும் அடைந்தேன். பலிக்கான மாலை நேரம்வரை நான் உட்கார்ந்திருந்தேன். அந்த ஜனங்கள் என்னைச் சுற்றிக் கூடினார்கள்.

இஸ்ரயேலின் கடவுளின் வார்த்தைகளுக்கு அஞ்சிய யாவரும், அடிமைத்தனத்திலிருந்து திரும்பி வந்தவர்களின் குற்றத்திற்காக என்னைச் சூழ்ந்து நின்றனர். நானோ மாலைப்பலி நேரம்வரை செயலற்று அமர்ந்திருந்தேன்.⒫
